Brains With Aseel

For Schools · Pupils and staff · At your school

The science of learning, in the classroom.

Talks and workshops that show pupils and teachers how attention, emotion and learning really work, and what to do with that on a Tuesday morning. Delivered in person at your school, shaped around your pupils and your term.

What I can run

Four themes, shaped to your school.

Each theme works as a talk, a hands-on workshop or a staff session. Mix them, or tell me what your pupils need.

  • How learning works

What happens in the brain when we learn, why some study habits fail, and how pupils can revise in ways that actually stick.

  • Attention in the classroom

Why attention wanders, what helps it return, and small changes that make lessons easier to follow for everyone.

  • Emotions and behaviour

Where big feelings come from, what the nervous system is doing under stress, and tools pupils can use to settle themselves.

  • Staff wellbeing

A session for teachers: stress, recovery and attention from the brain's point of view, with practical ways to protect both.

Formats

Pick a shape.

  • Assembly or year-group talk

    30 to 45 minutes

One clear idea about the brain, told with demonstrations, for a hall full of pupils.

  • Class workshop

    60 to 90 minutes

Hands-on and interactive, for one class at a time. Experiments, models and plenty of questions.

  • Staff INSET session

90 minutes to half a day

For teaching and support staff: the science behind learning, attention and wellbeing, and how to use it.

  • A series

    Across a term

Several sessions for the same group, so ideas have time to land and become habits.

How it works

From enquiry to the day.

  1. 01

    Send an enquiry

Tell me about your school, who the session is for, roughly how many, and any dates that suit.

  2. 02

    A short planning call

We agree the theme, the format and what you'd like pupils or staff to take away, and I confirm the price.

  3. 03

    The session

I come to you with everything needed. Nothing to set up beyond a room and a screen.

  4. 04

    Afterwards

A short summary for staff, and suggestions for keeping the ideas alive in class.

Good to know

Safeguarding and scope.

I am DBS-checked and work alongside your staff; a member of staff is present throughout.

Sessions are educational. They are not assessments, diagnosis or therapy, and they don't replace your school's pastoral or SEND provision.
